Preview Meet Sets the Stage for National Arogya Expo & AYUSH Conclave 2026 in Chennai

Chennai: A high-level preview event for the upcoming National Arogya Expo & AYUSH Conclave 2026 was successfully held in Chennai, marking a key milestone ahead of the national gathering scheduled from January 9 to 12, 2026. The conclave is being jointly organised by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, and the Heartfulness Institute, with support from NASYA, VIBA, and Dr. SHREEVARMA’s Wellness.

The preview meet brought together senior AYUSH physicians, integrated medicine experts, core committee members, and stakeholders from across the healthcare and wellness ecosystem. The discussions reinforced the conclave’s positioning not just as an event, but as a national health movement aimed at elevating India’s traditional systems of medicine in addressing modern health challenges.

Speakers highlighted the growing burden of lifestyle disorders, chronic diseases, mental health concerns, and the urgent need to shift the healthcare narrative from treatment to prevention and holistic well-being. They emphasized that AYUSH systems—Ayurveda, Yoga, Siddha, Unani, Naturopathy, and Homoeopathy—offer time-tested, scientifically grounded approaches that support physical, mental, and lifestyle balance.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. SHREEVARMA, Founder Chairman – Wellness by Heartfulness, stressed that AYUSH should be viewed as an integrated life science that complements modern medicine. He underscored the importance of preventive healthcare, lifestyle correction, and mind–body harmony as the foundation of future medical systems.

Dr. Gowthaman spoke about the rising global relevance of integrated medicine, noting that traditional knowledge and modern clinical practices are mutually reinforcing. He highlighted the expanding research opportunities and international interest in AYUSH-based healthcare models.

Sharing clinical insights, Dr. Vijeyapal and Dr. Veera Cholan pointed to the increasing prevalence of lifestyle-related disorders and the responsibility of healthcare professionals to promote preventive practices. They emphasized the role of AYUSH in empowering individuals to take charge of their long-term health.

Adding a youth-centric perspective, Dr. Jayarooba stressed the importance of involving students, young doctors, and researchers in the AYUSH movement. She noted that the upcoming conclave offers a rare national platform for learning, collaboration, and inspiration.

The National Arogya Expo & AYUSH Conclave 2026 will feature academic sessions, expert panels, research presentations, student engagement programs, and collaborative forums for practitioners, researchers, entrepreneurs, and policymakers. Running parallel to the conclave, the Arogya Expo will showcase AYUSH products, medical technologies, research innovations, and wellness solutions, fostering national and international partnerships across the healthcare sector.
