India’s First PRP Guidelines Launched at ReGen 2025 Conference

Chennai: The second edition of ReGen 2025, a two-day international conference on regenerative medicine, orthobiologics, pain management, and sports injury rehabilitation, has commenced in Chennai. This landmark event has drawn over 500 healthcare professionals from India and abroad, highlighting the growing interest in regenerative medicine.

Launch of India’s First PRP Guidelines
A significant milestone was achieved with the launch of India’s first-ever Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Guidelines. Developed by 17 leading experts, these guidelines provide a comprehensive, evidence-based framework for PRP therapy. Dr. G. K. Kumar emphasized the importance of standardized protocols in ensuring consistent practices and outcomes. The guidelines emphasize patient-centered care, informed consent, and long-term follow-up, setting a new benchmark for clinical excellence in regenerative practices.

Dr. Sharmila Tulpule, Chairperson of ReGen 2025, highlighted the conference’s role in accelerating research, clinical adoption, and policy alignment in regenerative medicine. According to Dr. A Navaladishankar, the release of these PRP guidelines marks a turning point for India’s regenerative medicine ecosystem, providing a foundation for safe, standardized, and evidence-based care.
