Syngene International Announces Leadership Changes
Mumbai: Syngene International Limited has announced that Jonathan Hunt has stepped down as MD & CEO and from the Board of Directors to pursue other opportunities.
Consequently, the Board has appointed Peter Bains as CEO Designate, effective immediately. Bains has over three decades of experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry and previously served as CEO of Syngene from 2010 to 2016.
Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Non-Executive Chairperson, Syngene International, thanked Hunt for his contributions to the company’s growth and wished him well in his future endeavors. She expressed confidence in Bains’ ability to lead the company, citing his deep domain experience, knowledge, and familiarity with the business.
