Indian Bank Wins Tiruvallur Premier League (TPL) 3.0
Chennai: The grand finale of the Nuo Clinic Tiruvallur Premier League (TPL) 3.0, organized by Hockey Tiruvallur, was held at the historic SDAT Mayor Radhakrishnan Hockey Stadium in Egmore. The highly anticipated Bankers Derby between Indian Bank and Indian Overseas Bank took center stage in the final match. Indian Bank emerged victorious, defeating Indian Overseas Bank 4-3 in a thrilling encounter.
Tournament Highlights
The Tiruvallur Premier League 3.0, which took place from August 11th to 31st, 2025, featured 10 teams competing in pool clashes and the Super Six stage. This year’s edition also introduced video referral technology, a first for a local league in Tamil Nadu. The tournament concluded with a grand closing ceremony attended by several dignitaries, including Hon’ble Minister S. M. Nasar and Thiru. I. Paranthamen, MLA – Egmore.
Winners and Prize Winners
Indian Bank took home the championship title, along with a cash prize of ₹50,000 and the Champions Trophy. Indian Overseas Bank secured the runner-up position, receiving ₹30,000 and a trophy. Pice Agorc claimed third place, winning ₹20,000 and a trophy.
