Bata Group Appoints Panos Mytaros as New Global CEO
Mumbai: The Bata Group has announced the appointment of Panos Mytaros as its new Global Chief Executive Officer, effective September 15, 2025. He will succeed Sandeep Kataria, who has led the Group since 2020 and will be stepping down after a significant period of transformation.
During Sandeep’s tenure, Bata accelerated its digital agenda, streamlined operations, expanded into new markets, and modernized business practices. These efforts have laid the foundations for future growth and positioned the company for continued success.
Panos brings over 30 years of global leadership experience in the footwear and leather industry. Most recently, he served as CEO of ECCO from 2021 to 2024. His expertise in brand building, footwear collections, and leading complex international organizations makes him well-suited to guide Bata through its next phase of growth.
