BLUE Unveils AI-First Video Analytics Platform, Targets 10X Revenue Growth by FY30
Mumbai: Bengaluru-based AI startup BLUE (KGraph AI Solutions Pvt. Ltd.) has unveiled an AI-native enterprise video infrastructure platform built on what the company describes as the world’s first semantic codec for videos, aiming to improve video analytics while reducing storage, bandwidth and computing requirements.
According to the company, the semantic codec is an AI-driven video compression technology that encodes the meaning, or semantics, of video data instead of relying solely on conventional compression methods.
The platform is designed for organisations operating large-scale CCTV camera networks. BLUE said the technology can reduce camera streaming and storage requirements by around 80 per cent, lower network bandwidth consumption by up to 90 per cent, reduce video storage costs by up to 10 times, and cut computing requirements for semantic video retrieval by 5 to 10 times, resulting in operational cost reductions of approximately 30 to 40 per cent.
The company stated that it is targeting 10-fold revenue growth by FY2030 following the launch.
BLUE said its platform has already been deployed with several enterprises in India, including Britannia Industries, Haldiram’s, HPCL, Connaught Plaza Restaurants Limited (CPRL), which operates McDonald’s restaurants in North and East India, and Mumbai Aviation Fuel Farm Facility Private Limited (MAFFFL). The company also said it is conducting pilot deployments in Africa and Sri Lanka.
The launch comes at a time when enterprises are facing increasing storage and infrastructure requirements due to expanding surveillance systems and regulatory compliance obligations.
According to the company, video storage accounts for 40 to 60 per cent of the total lifecycle cost of surveillance systems, while energy and cooling contribute another 10 to 20 per cent. It added that AI-enabled surveillance deployments can increase infrastructure costs by two to five times, depending on deployment scale.
BLUE said its platform converts conventional CCTV footage into a machine-queryable data layer by combining AI-based video compression, AI-optimised streaming, semantic storage, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)-enabled indexing and an agent-based architecture. The company stated that the approach is intended to improve enterprise video search and analytics while reducing infrastructure requirements.
Commenting on the launch, Kunal Kislay, Chief Executive Officer of BLUE, said the company has released benchmarking results using publicly available CCTV video datasets, comparing its semantic codec with conventional compression standards such as H.264 and H.265.
He said the company believes the technology can support wider adoption of AI-powered enterprise video analytics and contribute towards its target of achieving 10-fold revenue growth by FY2030.
Pradeep V., Group Manager – IT at Britannia Industries Limited, said the company is using BLUE’s AI solution in manufacturing and warehouse operations and that the compression technology has enabled the integration of hundreds of cameras across multiple sites onto a common platform.
According to BLUE, the platform has also been developed with a focus on data sovereignty and regulatory compliance. The company said the solution is aligned with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act and is designed to help enterprises retain greater control over surveillance data while supporting evolving privacy, governance and security requirements.
