Chennai Comic Con to Return on January 16–17, 2027
Chennai: Chennai Comic Con will return for its fourth edition on January 16 and 17, 2027, at the Chennai Trade Centre, Nandambakkam. Presented by Maruti Suzuki and powered by Crunchyroll, the event is organised by Comic Con India, a subsidiary of NODWIN Gaming.
The two-day event will bring together artists, creators, cosplayers and fans of comics, anime, gaming and popular culture. Activities will include cosplay, gaming arenas, fan zones, creator interactions, international guests, live music and stand-up comedy.
According to the organisers, the previous edition attracted more than 45,000 visitors and featured internationally acclaimed comic book writer Ron Marz, known for his work on Green Lantern, Silver Surfer, Witchblade and the DC vs. Marvel crossover series.
Shefali Johnson, CEO of Comic Con India, said the response from Chennai fans had encouraged the organisers to return for another edition.
Akshat Rathee, Co-founder and Managing Director of NODWIN Gaming, said the event would provide a platform for fans to connect over their shared interests in comics, anime, manga, gaming and global pop culture.
