380 Learners Graduate from IIMBx FinTech Certificate Programme

Chennai: A total of 380 learners have graduated from the first batch of IIM Bangalore’s FinTech Certificate Programme for Young Professionals, offered through its digital learning initiative IIMBx.

The inaugural batch enrolled 518 learners, of whom 363 earned the Advanced Certificate after clearing proctored in-person examinations, while 17 received the Foundation Certificate. The programme recorded a completion rate of more than 73%.

Around 300 participants received their certificates at the valedictory ceremony held in Chennai. The event also featured a panel discussion on “India’s FinTech Playbook: Payments, Lending, Insurance and Wealth Tech – What’s Next?”, with industry experts discussing developments in the sector.

The programme was launched in August 2025 in Bengaluru by Karnataka Minister for Electronics, IT & BT Priyank Kharge and is supported by the Government of Karnataka under its Centre of Excellence in FinTech.

The six-month Foundation Certificate and three-month Advanced Certificate programmes covered areas including strategy, finance, product management, regulation, payments, lending, insurance and wealth technology. Courses were delivered through live online sessions, with transcripts available in Kannada and English.

Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, CEO, Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM), said the programme aims to strengthen talent for Karnataka’s digital economy through industry-relevant education.

FinTech Batch 2The second batch of the programme is scheduled to begin in November 2026. Applications are open until October 25, 2026
