India Nurtures Over 1 Million New Entrepreneurs: Minister Jayant Chaudhary
Mumbai: The Indian government is nurturing over 1 million entrepreneurs through its flagship programs like Startup India, Skill India, and Atal Innovation Mission. This was highlighted by Shri Jayant Chaudhary, Hon’ble Minister of State (I/C), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and Minister of State, Ministry of Education, Government of India, in his address to the TiEcon 2025 conference.
India’s participation in TiEcon 2025, a leading technology and entrepreneurship conference in Silicon Valley, California, showcases the country’s expanding role as a global innovation partner. A high-level Indian delegation presented India’s capabilities in deep-tech, climate innovation, healthcare, AI, and digital transformation, reflecting the country’s entrepreneurial spirit rooted in resilience, inclusion, and purpose-driven development.
Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO, NSDC and MD, NSDC International, emphasized the importance of skilling and upskilling in the AI era. “AI is transforming the world in ways we never imagined… Skilling our youth and professionals is one of the most critical steps we must focus on today to prepare for the future.” The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) has been working to empower young people with the capabilities to become innovators, entrepreneurs, and future leaders in emerging fields.
