Minister Jayant Chaudhary Pays Tribute to Pahalgam Terror Attack Victims

Mumbai: Union Minister of State for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and Education, Jayant Chaudhary, paid tribute to the victims of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir. A two-minute silence was observed at the “Kaushal Manthan 2025” workshop in Mumbai, standing in solidarity with the bereaved families and the people of Jammu & Kashmir.

The workshop brought together key stakeholders from ministries, industry bodies, academia, and Sector Skill Councils to discuss a cohesive and future-ready skilling and entrepreneurship strategy for India. The theme “Collective Vision for a Skilled Bharat” emphasized the need for a unified approach to skilling and entrepreneurship development.

The workshop highlighted the importance of long-term skilling, entrepreneurship, and aligning skilling initiatives with market needs. Discussions focused on designing new-age courses, increasing female enrollment, and creating entrepreneurial hubs at the district level. The role of technology, including Artificial Intelligence, in vocational education was also emphasized, with potential applications in curriculum design, skill assessment, and career guidance.

The workshop reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to building a unified, aspirational, and globally relevant skilling and entrepreneurship ecosystem. Insights from the sessions will inform progressive, high-impact policies that prepare India’s youth for leadership in the global economy.
