Print Expo Chennai and Media Expo Chennai Open at Chennai Trade Centre
Chennai: Print Expo Chennai, co-located with Media Expo Chennai, commenced today at the Chennai Trade Centre, bringing together 185 exhibiting companies from the printing, signage, branding and visual communication industries.
The three-day exhibition features more than 250 brands and over 550 products spread across 11,000 gross square metres of exhibition space. The event showcases a wide range of technologies, including printing machinery, digital signage systems, LED display solutions and branding applications.
Visitors witnessed live demonstrations of printing equipment, allowing manufacturers to showcase machinery performance, print quality and the latest technological advancements. The exhibition also provides an opportunity for buyers and industry professionals to compare products from multiple companies under one roof and interact directly with technology experts.
Speaking at the inauguration, Raj Manek, Executive Director & Board Member, Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings Ltd, said that businesses across Asia are increasingly investing in technologies that improve efficiency, quality and sustainability, with India playing a significant role in driving these advancements. He noted that Chennai’s strong manufacturing ecosystem and growing demand for advanced printing and signage solutions continue to create new business opportunities for the industry.
Ashok Neelkant, Managing Director, Showcase Trade Fairs and Business Media, said the strong visitor turnout on the opening day reflected the industry’s interest in adopting new technologies while also building reliable business partnerships, expanding distribution networks and enhancing productivity.
The exhibition highlights developments in digital signage, LED display systems, high-speed printing machinery and branding solutions. Visitors can also explore innovations in printing technologies designed to improve production efficiency and output quality.
According to exhibitors, the industry is witnessing growing demand for premium PP sheets, cast acrylic sheets, premium vinyl, customised plastic solutions and advanced signage materials. Sustainability-related technologies, including solvent recovery systems, UV curing technologies and environmentally responsible printing solutions, are also receiving increased attention. Companies are investing in both Make in India manufacturing and advanced international technologies, while packaging enhancement and print finishing continue to emerge as growing segments.
Several new products are being introduced at the exhibition, including solvent recovery systems, anti-counterfeiting solutions, UV coating technologies, thermal printers, advanced print finishing equipment, premium graphic films, UL-certified cast acrylic sheets, India’s first ABS-based LED modules for signage, and high-speed flex and solvent printing solutions.
The exhibition will continue for the next two days and is expected to facilitate business opportunities, strengthen industry partnerships and showcase emerging technologies shaping the future of the printing, branding, signage and visual communication sectors in South India.
