Over 500 Entrepreneurs to Participate in ‘Thamizhar 4.0’ Global Trade & Business Summit in Chennai
Chennai: The Confederation of Tamil Agriculture Commerce Industry and Services (CTACIS), a Chennai-based organisation, will host the ‘Thamizhar 4.0’ Global Trade & Business Summit on July 24 and 25 at the Hilton Hotel in Chennai.
The summit is expected to bring together more than 500 Tamil-speaking entrepreneurs and business leaders from Tamil Nadu, other parts of India, and several countries across the world. Organisers describe it as one of the largest entrepreneur and B2B networking events to be held in Chennai.
The event aims to connect members of the Tamil business community from Bengaluru, Mumbai, Goa, and various international markets. Special emphasis has been given to countries with which India has Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), including the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Oman, and the European Union (EU). Delegates from these regions, along with participants from Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, and Australia, are expected to attend. Several business-to-business (B2B) partnerships and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) are anticipated during the summit.
The summit will focus on strengthening the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector and promoting trade through collaboration and knowledge sharing. Prominent entrepreneurs and industry experts, including MaFoi K. Pandiarajan, C.K. Kumaravel of Naturals, Suresh Krishnan of Isha Homes, and Anand Srinivasan of Money Pechu, are among the keynote speakers and panellists.
Representatives from the Tamil Nadu Department of MSME, Tamil Nadu Industrial Investment Corporation (TIIC), and national institutions such as SIDBI and NSIC will also participate. They are expected to provide information on various State and Central Government schemes available for entrepreneurs and MSMEs.
According to the organisers, the summit will advocate for the creation of a structured mechanism to facilitate collaboration between large industries and MSMEs in Tamil Nadu. It will also propose the establishment of Trade Mission offices in countries where India has signed Free Trade Agreements to support international trade opportunities.
The summit will further encourage the global Tamil business community to strengthen cooperation and promote Tamil products and services from the MSME sector in international markets through collaborative initiatives.
