Actor Pugazh Inaugurates “Dubai Summer Carnival 2026” in Chennai
Chennai: The Dubai Summer Carnival Chennai 2026 was inaugurated on Thursday evening along the NH Bypass Road near Nolambur, drawing large crowds on its opening day and marking the start of a new summer entertainment attraction in the city.
The carnival was officially opened at 5 PM by actor and comedian Pugazh, who attended as the Chief Guest. He interacted with visitors and toured various attractions at the venue.
Organised by Mishri Group of Companies in association with WE1 Entertainment, the event aims to recreate a Dubai-inspired festive environment through themed installations, immersive zones, and large-scale entertainment features. The Surreal Dubai Waterfalls has been positioned as the main highlight of the carnival.

Guests and Remarks
The inauguration was attended by several business leaders as Guests of Honour, including Parsan Chand Dugar (Mishri Group of Companies), Sundarlingam (Jeyachandran Retail Pvt Ltd), Jayantilal Challani (Challani Jewellery Mart), and Varadharajan (Sowbhagya Electronics).
Speaking at the event, Parsan Chand Dugar said the carnival is designed to bring a Dubai-style entertainment experience to Chennai, offering a mix of leisure, shopping, and family-friendly activities.
Actor Pugazh said he was happy to be part of the launch and encouraged families to visit and experience the carnival.
