Nothing Launches Phone (4b) in India; Starts at ₹29,999
Chennai: London-based consumer technology brand Nothing has unveiled the Phone (4b), marking the debut of the company’s new (b) series smartphones and expanding its product ecosystem in India.
The Phone (4b) succeeds the Phone (4a) series and combines the company’s signature design with updated hardware, Nothing OS, Essential AI tools and long-term software support.
The smartphone incorporates design elements from the Phone (4a) lineup, including the Glyph Interface and Glyph Bar introduced with the Phone (4a), along with the unibody design seen on the Phone (4a) Pro.
Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 Processor
The Phone (4b) is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 4, a 4nm mobile processor. According to the company, the chipset delivers performance close to the Phone (4a) and achieves an AnTuTu benchmark score of over one million.
6,000mAh Battery
The smartphone features a 6,000mAh battery, the largest battery introduced in a Nothing smartphone to date. The battery is 11% larger than the one found in the Phone (4a) Pro and has been tuned for Indian usage patterns and climate conditions.
Nothing states that the Phone (4b) offers up to 18 hours of mixed usage, including up to 22 hours of YouTube playback and 26 hours of Instagram browsing.
The battery uses the company’s Safe Cell Technology, supports 33W wired fast charging, charges up to 50% in under 30 minutes, reaches a full charge in just over an hour, and is designed to retain up to 90% battery capacity after 1,200 charging cycles.
Display and Camera
The Phone (4b) comes with a 120Hz Super AMOLED display and a 50MP primary rear camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). It also runs Nothing OS, which includes the company’s Essential AI features.
Price and Availability
The Nothing Phone (4b) will be available in two storage variants:
- 8GB RAM + 128GB Storage: Effective price of ₹29,999
- 8GB RAM + 256GB Storage: Effective price of ₹33,699
The effective pricing includes a 7.5% instant bank discount and exchange bonus.
The official MRP is ₹34,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant and ₹38,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant.
The Phone (4b) becomes the first smartphone in Nothing’s new (b) series, offering updated hardware specifications, a larger battery and the company’s signature software experience at a lower price point within its smartphone portfolio.
