Chennai Hosts India’s First Exclusive Elbow Surgery Conference, CULTCON 2026

Chennai: Chennai is hosting CULTCON 2026, India’s first academic conference dedicated exclusively to elbow surgery, on July 25 and 26. The event brings together leading elbow and shoulder surgeons from India and abroad to discuss the latest developments in elbow surgery, research, and clinical practice.

The conference is organized by Dr. Ram Chidambaram, an elbow and shoulder surgeon, with the objective of creating a dedicated platform for education, knowledge-sharing, and research collaboration in elbow surgery. Until now, elbow surgery has generally been covered as part of broader shoulder or upper-limb orthopedic conferences in India.

Focus on Elbow Surgery

According to the organizers, elbow surgery involves unique anatomical and technical challenges that receive limited attention at general orthopedic conferences. CULTCON 2026 aims to provide a dedicated academic platform for surgeons to exchange knowledge, discuss best practices, encourage collaborative research, and strengthen orthopedic education related to elbow surgery in India.

The conference marks the first time an academic meeting in India has been organized with an exclusive focus on elbow surgery.
