Mukti Marks 40 Years of Service with Rehabilitation and Mobility Support for Persons with Disabilities
Chennai: Mukti: M.S. Dadha Foundation has marked its 40th year of service with initiatives aimed at supporting persons with disabilities through rehabilitation, mobility assistance and employment opportunities.
For four decades, Mukti has been providing artificial limbs, calipers, physiotherapy and mobility support free of cost to persons with disabilities. The organisation said its work has focused on helping individuals overcome barriers to dignity, independence and participation in society.
As part of its 40th-year activities, Mukti recently organised a job fair for its beneficiaries, providing opportunities for persons with disabilities to pursue employment and financial independence.
During the year, the organisation also conducted rehabilitation and support camps across seven locations, benefiting nearly 800 beneficiaries.
Wheelchair and Artificial Limb Distribution
Mukti has also been conducting monthly wheelchair distribution programmes for 100 beneficiaries. So far, 500 wheelchairs have been distributed, according to the organisation.
As part of its ongoing initiatives, Mukti organised a wheelchair distribution programme for 100 beneficiaries, along with an artificial limb distribution programme, on August 25, 2026, at its premises at No. 1, Station Road, Meenambakkam, Chennai.
The artificial limb distribution programme was supported by Shree SS Jain Sanskar Manch Mahila Shakha, Chennai.
The programme was held in the presence of Sri Vimalchand Ji Dhariwal, President, Founder & Managing Trustee, KIND.
Focus on Long-Term Inclusion
Speaking on the occasion, Meena Dadha, Managing Trustee, Mukti, said the organisation’s 40th year represents both a reflection on its work over the past four decades and a renewed focus on creating opportunities for persons with disabilities.
She said Mukti would continue to work towards enabling people with disabilities to live with dignity, contribute to society and pursue their potential.
The organisation said its initiatives in rehabilitation, mobility and employment are aimed at reducing barriers faced by persons with disabilities and supporting greater independence.
