Malabar Group Announces ₹2.80 Crore Scholarship for 3,511 Female Students in Tamil Nadu
Chennai: Malabar Group, has announced educational scholarships worth ₹2.80 crore for 3,511 female students in Tamil Nadu. The initiative is part of the Malabar Scholarship Programme, which aims to support girls’ education and empower women.
The scholarship distribution ceremony was held at The Anna Centenary Library in Chennai, with Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, Minister of School Education, Government of Tamil Nadu, as the chief guest.
This year, the scholarship program has allocated ₹16 crore to support the education of over 21,000 female students across India. In Tamil Nadu, the program will benefit 3,511 students across 446 government schools.
Malabar Group’s Chairman, MP Ahammed, emphasized the importance of education in transforming lives and society. The group has invested over ₹282.29 crore in various social responsibility projects, reflecting its commitment to sustainable development.
