From Pani Puri Vendor’s Son to IIT Roorkee: Harsh Gupta’s Inspiring Journey

Maharashtra: Harsh Gupta, a 19-year-old student from Kalyan, has secured admission to the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, overcoming extreme financial hardship, academic setbacks, and a debilitating medical condition. Harsh’s journey is a testament to his resilience and the transformative role played by Motion Education, Kota, in nurturing talent from underprivileged backgrounds.

Overcoming Adversity:

Harsh’s family, including his father, a roadside pani puri vendor, resides in a small two-room chawl in Thane district. Despite limited resources and little exposure to competitive exams, Harsh joined Motion Education and worked hard to catch up academically. However, he faced setbacks, including failing his Class 11 exams and being diagnosed with Rectal Prolapse, a painful and recurring medical condition.

But Motion never gave up on me. They believed in me even when I lost belief in myself,” said Harsh.
