Papua New Guinea Trade Commissioner Meets Tamil Nadu CM C. Joseph Vijay, Explores Trade Opportunities
Chennai: Dr. R.C.M. Vishnu Prabhu, Trade Commissioner of Papua New Guinea, met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay at the Secretariat on Monday and extended his congratulations following the latter’s swearing-in.
The Chief Minister officially assumed office after taking the oath at the Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai. The oath of office was administered by Tamil Nadu Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, in the presence of dignitaries including Dr. Vishnu Prabhu.
Following the ceremony, the Trade Commissioner called on the Chief Minister at his office in the Secretariat, where he conveyed his best wishes and invited him to visit Papua New Guinea.
During the meeting, Dr. Vishnu Prabhu highlighted Papua New Guinea’s rich natural resources and discussed potential areas of collaboration between Tamil Nadu and Papua New Guinea. The interaction focused on strengthening bilateral trade ties and exploring new avenues for economic cooperation.
The meeting is expected to pave the way for enhanced engagement and mutually beneficial partnerships between the two regions.
