SIAM and KVS Launch Nationwide Online Road Safety Program

Mumbai: The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) and Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) have launched a nationwide online road safety program for school students. The program aims to instill responsible road behavior among students across 1,253 Kendriya Vidyalayas.

The program offers six interactive digital modules covering basic road safety, pedestrian awareness, seatbelt and helmet usage, road rules, safe travel practices, and legal aspects. The program is part of SIAM’s “सुरक्षित सफर” (Safe Journey) initiative and aligns with the mission of “Building the Nation, Responsibly”. The program will benefit over 15 lakh students and aims to create a culture of road discipline and safe conduct.

Nitin Jairam Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways, said: “Road safety must advance alongside the country’s progress.” Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Union Minister of Education, said: “Road safety is an essential part of our daily lives, and we all have a responsibility to teach this to our children.”

The program aims to empower students with knowledge and skills to become responsible road users and promote road safety awareness across the country. The initiative is expected to make a significant impact on reducing road accidents and promoting a culture of road safety.
