SRM Institute of Science and Technology Hosts 8th International Conference on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICONN 2025)
Chennai: The Department of Physics and Nanotechnology at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) successfully organized the 8th biennial International Conference on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICONN-2025), a premier global event.
The conference brought together leading researchers, industry experts, and academicians to discuss groundbreaking advancements in nanoscience and nanotechnology. The event was co-sponsored by Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), WILEY, Springer Nature USA, and Malvern Panalytical Spectrics Pvt. Ltd., among others.
The conference featured keynote addresses, technical sessions, and panel discussions covering topics such as materials at reduced dimensional scale, nanofabrication, nanoelectronics, energy applications, and emerging nanomedicine technologies. Researchers presented pioneering work in energy harvesting, nanocomposites, catalysts, and two-dimensional materials.
With a strong focus on sustainable nanotechnology and real-world applications, ICONN continues to drive innovation in the field of physics of materials, nanoscience, and nanotechnology. The event provided a platform for young scientists and students to showcase their research, fostering collaboration across disciplines.
The conference featured over 30 scientific sessions with eminent speakers from renowned international institutions. Prof. C. Muthamizhchelvan, Vice Chancellor, SRMIST, felicitated the guest of honor and dignitaries on the dais.
