Chinmaya Mission and Sanatana Seva Sangham Release “Upanishad Ganga” in Multiple Languages
Chennai: Chinmaya Mission and Sanatana Seva Sangham have jointly translated and released the acclaimed series “Upanishad Ganga” in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and English. The grand release event took place at the Chinmaya Heritage Centre in Chennai, with Swami Swaroopananda, the Global Head of Chinmaya Mission, in attendance.
Originally aired on Doordarshan in 2012, “Upanishad Ganga” has continued to inspire audiences with its spiritual and philosophical insights. Recognizing its timeless significance, the translation project took two years of dedicated effort.
Distinguished guests at the launch included former Chief Election Commissioner of India, N. Gopalaswami, Editor of Thuglak magazine, S. Gurumurthy, and BJP Tamilnadu President Annamalai, who officially released the translated versions. Other notable attendees were the series’ director, Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, his wife Mandira Kashyap Dwivedi, Dr. Manisha Kamlani, CEO of Central Chinmaya Mission Trust, and Shri Gopal Srinivasan, Founder of Sanatana Seva Sangham.
This translation effort aims to bring the spiritual wisdom of “Upanishad Ganga” to a wider audience, fostering deeper philosophical contemplation and spiritual growth across diverse linguistic communities.
