Jaipur Music Stage Unveils Power-Packed Line-up for 15–17 January 2026 at Hotel Clarks Amer
Chennai: The Jaipur Music Stage (JMS), the annual contemporary music showcase held alongside the Jaipur Literature Festival, has announced a dynamic line-up for its 2026 edition. Scheduled from 15–17 January 2026 at Hotel Clarks Amer, Jaipur, the festival promises an eclectic mix of celebrated musicians, indie icons, and genre-blending performers from across India.
Recognised as one of the country’s most anticipated music platforms, JMS continues to spotlight India’s evolving contemporary music landscape through diverse sounds, innovative collaborations, and immersive live performances.
Day 1: Soumik Datta & Vasu Dixit Collective – 15 January
The festival opens with Soumik Datta Travellers, an atmospheric new production by the internationally acclaimed sarod virtuoso and winner of the 2025 Eastern Eye ACTA Award for Music. The performance blends sarod, ambient soundscapes, field recordings, spoken word, and immersive sound design, forming part of Datta’s seven-month Melodies in Slow Motion India tour.
Also performing is the Vasu Dixit Collective, known for its energetic Electronic-Folk sound rooted in Kannada and Hindi traditions. Led by singer-composer and filmmaker Vasu Dixit, the ensemble is celebrated for reimagining the works of saint-poets like Basavanna and Kabir through spirited contemporary arrangements.
Day 2: Parvaaz, Raman Negi & Yugm – 16 January
The second evening features some of India’s most influential independent music voices. Headlining the night is acclaimed rock band Parvaaz, whose progressive-psychedelic sound draws from folk and world music influences. Their latest album, Na Gul Na Gulistan (December 2025), has topped global indie charts.
Joining them is singer-songwriter Raman Negi, formerly the frontman of The Local Train. His solo albums Shakhsiyat (2022) and Chaltey Purzay (2024) have cemented his reputation for introspective songwriting and genre-fluid compositions.
The line-up also includes Yugm, Jaipur’s homegrown folk-fusion ensemble known for socially conscious storytelling, powerful melodies, and modern arrangements.
Day 3: Thaikkudam Bridge & Gauley Bhai – 17 January
The festival concludes with a high-energy finale led by Thaikkudam Bridge, the celebrated 15-member multi-genre ensemble known for its large-format performances and cross-genre experimentation. With over a thousand shows worldwide, the band remains one of India’s most sought-after live acts.
They are joined by Gauley Bhai, a contemporary folk-rock quartet blending Nepali folk with blues, rock, hip hop, and Afrobeat. Since forming in 2017, the band has built a strong national and international following through its textured soundscapes and community-driven music initiatives.
