Mumbai: IT services company Mphasis has extended its partnership with Social Security Scotland through an agreement worth approximately £35.4 million.
Under the agreement, Mphasis will manage and maintain Social Security Scotland’s core benefits management platform, which supports benefits services for around 2 million citizens across Scotland.
The scope includes maintenance and support of the platform used for benefit applications, eligibility decisions and payments. Mphasis will also work on maintaining the stability and continuity of the system.
The company said the engagement is part of its broader public-sector work supporting government organisations with digital services.
Ashish Devalekar, Executive Vice President and Head of Europe, Mphasis, said the extended partnership would focus on maintaining service continuity and operational efficiency for a platform supporting essential benefits services across Scotland.
