Avtar Human Capital Trust Holds 20th Udyog Utsav for Girl Students in Chennai
Chennai: Avtar Human Capital Trust (AHCT) organised the 20th edition of Udyog Utsav 2026, its annual career visioning conference for Project Puthri scholars, at Guru Nanak Educational Society in Chennai on Saturday.
The conference aimed to help schoolgirls from underserved communities explore career options, understand educational pathways and make informed decisions about their futures.
Over its previous editions, Udyog Utsav has brought together more than 10,100 scholars and 200 corporate organisations, providing over 150 hours of learning and engagement.
The event featured addresses by industry representatives, including Remadevi Thotathil, CHRO of Latentview Analytics; K.R. Sriram, Vice President and Head of Automation Corporate IT at Worldline; Daisy Leela, Senior Specialist – CSR at Harman; and Jasleen K. Makker, Senior Director – Corporate Communications and Public Affairs at Harman.
Dr. R.M. Ezhilarasi, Principal of Guru Nanak College (Autonomous), delivered the opening keynote address. Other speakers included Dr. D. Sowmya, Dean of the Guru Nanak Centre for Consultancy and Outreach Initiatives; Pooja Srinivasa Raja, executive leader at A2B and founder of Love Hope Company; and Raja, former Senior Scientific Officer at the Ministry of Defence and founder of Raja IAS Academy.
Dr. Saundarya Rajesh, Managing Director of Avtar Career Creators Limited and Managing Trustee of AHCT, said the conference helps girls discover career opportunities, interact with professionals and develop a clearer understanding of their aspirations.
The programme included scholar testimonials, talent search awards, scholarship distribution, cultural performances and a self-defence workshop. Students also visited corporate and institutional stalls to learn about educational programmes and career opportunities.
The conference concluded with scholars taking the Puthri Pledge, committing themselves to pursuing their education and careers with purpose.
