FAI-NR to Conduct Four-Day Training Programme for Fertiliser Sector Professionals in Himachal Pradesh

Mumbai: The Fertiliser Association of India – Northern Region (FAI-NR) will organise a four-day residential training programme on “Improving Professional and Personal Effectiveness” from June 17 to 20, 2026, at KC Vilaas Resort & Spa, Fagu, Kufri, Himachal Pradesh.

The programme is aimed at professionals working across the fertiliser value chain and is designed to help participants strengthen both their technical knowledge and professional competencies in response to the evolving requirements of the industry.

According to FAI-NR, the fertiliser sector is undergoing significant changes driven by technological advancements, nutrient management practices and policy developments. The programme seeks to equip industry professionals with the knowledge and skills required to adapt to these changes and perform their roles more effectively.

The inaugural session will feature a keynote address by Dr. Suresh Kumar Chaudhari, Director General, FAI, who is expected to discuss policy developments, market dynamics and sustainability-related issues influencing India’s fertiliser and agri-inputs sector.

The inaugural address will be delivered by Dr. S.P. Mohanty, Co-Chairman, FAI, and Managing Director, HURL & AVFCCL, who will share perspectives on leadership, operational efficiency and workforce competencies in the fertiliser industry.

The training programme will cover a range of technical topics, including fertiliser pricing and subsidy policy, raw material availability, fertiliser logistics, iFMS and Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) implementation, international trade, port operations, fertiliser marketing, alternative and nano fertilisers, Integrated Nutrient Management and precision agriculture.

In addition to industry-focused sessions, the programme will include modules on professional development, such as team building, leadership, time management, stress management and interpersonal effectiveness.

Sessions will be led by experts and senior executives from organisations including COMPO EXPERT India, Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Ltd. (CFCL), HURL, Jubilant Agri and Consumer Products Ltd., KRIBHCO and IFFCO, along with faculty members from FAI, government institutions and management institutes.

The organisers stated that the programme aims to provide participants with a combination of industry knowledge and professional skills to support their effectiveness in an increasingly dynamic business environment.
