Rajhesh Vaidhya Releases GROOVEENA, Blending Veena Music with Contemporary Visuals
Chennai: Veena maestro Rajhesh Vaidhya has released GROOVEENA, a new musical and visual project presented by Supernova in collaboration with RV Dreamscape Records. The track is available on major streaming platforms.
Filmed at DakshinaChitra Museum in Chennai, the visual combines veena music, dance and heritage architecture to present the classical instrument through a contemporary format.
Rajhesh Vaidhya, a Kalaimamani award recipient, is known for blending Carnatic traditions with modern amplified sounds. The visual features dancers Sagana Muralidharan and Varshini Mukundan, with direction by Hari Rajan and creative direction and videography by RS Vineeth.
The project explores the connection between traditional Indian music and contemporary visual storytelling, using DakshinaChitra’s cultural setting as its backdrop.
