SRM School of Law, Tessolve Sign MoU for Industry-Focused Legal Education
Chennai: The SRM School of Law under SRM Institute of Science and Technology has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tessolve Semiconductor Private Limited to strengthen industry-academia collaboration and provide practical exposure for law students.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Y.S.R. Murthy, Pro Vice Chancellor (Law), SRMIST, and Dr. Veerappan V, Co-founder and President of Tessolve Semiconductor Pvt. Ltd.
The partnership aims to create opportunities for experiential learning, applied research, internships, industry-led projects, and mentorship programmes for students of the SRM School of Law. The collaboration will also support placement opportunities across Tessolve offices in India.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Y.S.R. Murthy said the collaboration would help bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements while preparing students to become globally competent legal professionals.
As part of the agreement, both institutions will jointly organise workshops, conferences, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing programmes focusing on emerging industry trends and corporate legal practices.
The two institutions also discussed collaborative initiatives in sustainability and social responsibility, including legal literacy programmes, environmental awareness campaigns, waste management initiatives, and community outreach activities.
Tessolve Semiconductor Pvt. Ltd., a Hero Electronix venture, is a leading semiconductor design and engineering services company and works with several global chipmakers.
SRM School of Law offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and certificate programmes with a focus on multidisciplinary and practice-oriented legal education.
