Union Budget 2026 Sets Stage for IT Sector Expansion, Cloud Investments
Commenting on the Union Budget 2026, Veena Khandale, SVP & Managing Director, Ensono India, said the government’s reforms underscore the IT services sector as a key growth engine for the ‘Viksit Bharat’ vision.
She highlighted the Safe Harbor threshold increase to ₹2,000 crore, fast-tracked two-year Advance Pricing Agreements, and the tax holiday until 2047 for cloud service providers leveraging Indian data centers as measures that will improve tax certainty, attract foreign investment, and expand cloud infrastructure.
Khandale also welcomed initiatives on AI upskilling, quantum computing and STEM education for women, noting that these measures support workforce development and reinforce technology’s role as a driver of sustainable economic growth and global competitiveness.
