VG Pageants Chennai Launched, Creating Pathway for Women to Compete at National Level

Chennai: VG Pageants Chennai was officially launched on Sunday at a press conference held at The Park Chennai, Nungambakkam, introducing a city-level platform focused on personality development, confidence-building and leadership opportunities for women.

The launch marks the expansion of the national VG Pageants platform into Chennai, allowing participants to compete in local pageants and qualify for the VG Miss & Mrs India National Pageant.

Speaking at the event, Binita Shrivastava, Founder and National Director of VG Pageants, said the initiative aims to provide women with a platform to showcase their abilities and pursue opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Binita Shrivastava is also known as a transformation coach, TEDx speaker, author and founder of Visionara Global. During the event, she stated that the platform is intended to encourage women to explore leadership, confidence and self-expression through structured pageant programs.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Vishwas Srivastava, CEO of Visionara Global, said the organization is expanding its city leadership model across India to create local communities while connecting participants to national-level opportunities.

The Chennai chapter of VG Pageants will be led by Radhika Lakra, who has been appointed as the City Director for Chennai.

Sharing her experience at the launch, Radhika Lakra spoke about balancing her banking career, family responsibilities and motherhood while pursuing personal goals. She noted that her participation in the VG Miss & Mrs India Global Icon 2026 competition, where she finished as First Runner-Up, encouraged her to take on a larger role in mentoring and supporting women.

Organizers also announced a series of upcoming events under the Chennai chapter, including VG Miss Chennai, VG Ms Chennai and VG Mrs Chennai pageants. Additional activities will include kids and teen fashion shows, runway events, grooming programs and professional portfolio opportunities.

According to the organizers, winners from the Chennai competitions will qualify to participate in the national-level VG Miss & Mrs India pageant.

The initiative is expected to provide women in Chennai with opportunities related to personality development, confidence-building and leadership while connecting them to a wider national network through the Visionara Global platform.
