Kauvery Hospital Launches Integrated Multi-Speciality Robotic Surgery Programme Across Three Chennai Hospitals
Chennai: Kauvery Hospital has launched ‘Kauvery 3X Chennai’, an integrated robotic surgery programme that brings together robotic-assisted surgical services across its three Chennai hospitals under a common framework of care.
The programme is based on the 4th generation da Vinci Robotic Surgical System and is designed to support robotic-assisted procedures across multiple medical specialities, including gastroenterology, oncology, urology, gynaecology and nephrology.
According to the hospital, the integrated programme will provide robotic surgical treatment for a range of complex conditions. These include gastrointestinal (GI) cancers, colorectal cancers, gynaecological cancers, breast cancers, urological cancers, fibroid surgery, hysterectomy, endometriosis treatment, ovarian procedures, prostate surgery, kidney surgery, kidney transplantation, bladder procedures, reconstructive urological surgeries, thyroidectomy, hernia repair, gallbladder surgery, colorectal surgery and advanced upper gastrointestinal procedures.
A key component of the initiative is the hospital’s robotic kidney transplantation programme, which forms part of its minimally invasive surgical services for complex procedures.
Speaking about the initiative, Dr. Aravindan Selvaraj, Co-founder and Executive Director, Kauvery Group of Hospitals, said that ‘Kauvery 3X Chennai’ has been introduced to create an integrated robotic surgery ecosystem across the hospital’s three Chennai facilities by combining advanced technology, multidisciplinary expertise and uniform standards of care.
He added that the programme aims to provide patients with access to robotic-assisted surgical care across multiple specialities closer to their location while maintaining consistent clinical practices across the three hospitals.
Dr. Selvaraj further stated that the initiative is the result of continued investments in clinical practice, surgical innovation and collaborative care, with a focus on improving patient outcomes, supporting faster recovery and expanding treatment options through robotic-assisted surgery.
