Prashanth Fertility Launches ‘Prashanth Fertility at Home’ for IVF Support Services in Chennai

Chennai: Prashanth Fertility has launched ‘Prashanth Fertility at Home’, an initiative offering eligible IVF support services at patients’ homes across Chennai. The service was launched at a press conference in the city on Wednesday.

The initiative is aimed at addressing continuity-related challenges during IVF treatment, including difficulties in attending appointments, following injection schedules and completing follow-ups. The services will be provided under the supervision of the patients’ treating fertility specialists.

The launch was attended by Actor Khushbu Sundar, Chief Guest, along with Parthipan J, CEO, Prashanth Fertility, and Dr. Samhitha Moturi, Director, Prashanth Group of Hospitals.

As part of the initiative, Prashanth Fertility has introduced a dedicated at-home care team and a vehicle that will travel across Chennai. Depending on treatment requirements and eligibility, patients can receive services including injection support, eligible monitoring, follow-ups and treatment coordination at home.

A digital interface has also been introduced through the Prashanth Fertility app, through which patients can schedule and manage eligible at-home fertility care services. The app also allows patients to schedule appointments, manage follow-ups, access and maintain medical records and treatment-related files, and stay connected with their care journey.

Speaking about the initiative, Dr. Geetha Haripriya, Chairman, Prashanth Group of Hospitals, said the initiative was intended to make fertility care more accessible and connected to patients while supporting continuity during treatment.

Dr. Samhitha Moturi, Director, Prashanth Group of Hospitals, said fertility treatment can involve multiple appointments, medication schedules, monitoring and follow-ups. She noted that repeated travel to a fertility centre can be an additional challenge for couples balancing work and family responsibilities.

According to her, the at-home service has been designed to take appropriate, clinically supervised aspects of fertility care closer to patients while helping them remain connected with their fertility specialists.

Actor Khushbu Sundar, who attended the launch as Chief Guest, said that fertility treatment can be an emotionally and physically demanding journey for couples and that making appropriate care more accessible can help reduce some of the practical challenges involved.

The initiative comes amid growing attention to infertility as a reproductive health concern. The Government of India has acknowledged that infertility affects a substantial proportion of couples, while global estimates indicate that around one in six people experience infertility during their lifetime.

Fertility treatment can involve consultations, investigations, medications and monitoring over an extended period, with associated emotional, social and financial considerations. The initiative seeks to address some of the logistical challenges associated with accessing these aspects of care.

The Prashanth Fertility at Home service is currently available across Chennai. Patients can contact the dedicated 24×7 toll-free helpline at 044 2888 2888 for information on available services, eligibility and scheduling.
