Chennai Plastic Surgery Hosts Advanced Gynecomastia Surgery Training Programme
Chennai: Chennai Plastic Surgery (CPS) hosted the second edition of Chest Sculpt 2.0 – Advanced Gynecomastia Surgery & Male Chest Contouring, a two-day training programme for plastic surgeons.
Led by Dr. Karthik Ram, Plastic Surgeon and Managing Director, Chennai Plastic Surgery, the programme combined live surgeries, scientific discussions, case-based learning and supervised hands-on training.
The first day featured three live gynecomastia surgery cases, covering patient assessment, preoperative planning, surgical markings, evaluation of glandular and fatty tissue, liposuction, glandular tissue management and chest contouring.

The second day focused on supervised hands-on training involving six cases. Participation was subject to eligibility, patient selection, informed consent and applicable clinical safety protocols.
The programme also included discussions on surgical planning, contour irregularities, chest symmetry and adapting techniques to different patient anatomies.
Dr. Karthik Ram said the programme was designed to help participating surgeons understand the reasoning behind surgical decisions, observe procedures and apply the principles under supervision.
Chest Sculpt was developed by Chennai Plastic Surgery as a focused educational initiative covering the assessment, planning and surgical management of gynecomastia and male chest contouring.
