Hosur: Yuvraj Sandhu has emerged victorious at the PGTI Players Championship 2025, held at the Clover Greens Golf Course and Resort near Hosur, Tamil Nadu. Sandhu prevailed over Udayan Mane in a marathon playoff that lasted five extra holes, showcasing his exceptional skill and determination.
Back-to-Back Wins
This win marks Sandhu’s second consecutive title, having also won in Mysuru last week. The 28-year-old Chandigarh resident shot a solid six-under 65 in the final round, finishing with a total score of 28-under 256, identical to Udayan Mane’s score, which forced the playoff. Sandhu’s fourth victory of the year has taken his season’s earnings to INR 88,67,200, giving him a commanding lead of over INR 25 lakh in the PGTI Order of Merit.
Playoff Drama
The playoff saw both Sandhu and Mane making pars on the first four holes, before Sandhu broke through on the fifth extra hole. With an immaculate tee shot setting up a four-feet birdie putt, Sandhu sank the crucial putt to clinch the win. Udayan Mane, despite making par on the hole, couldn’t match Sandhu’s clutch performance.

- Delhi’s Kshitij Naveed Kaul secured third place with a total score of 19-under 265.
- Eighteen-year-old Veer Ganapathy of Bengaluru won the best amateur trophy, finishing tied fourth with a score of 17-under 267.
