TEDxIIHMR U 2026 Concludes at IIHMR University with Focus on Diverse Voices and Ideas
Jaipur: The fourth edition of TEDxIIHMR U 2026 concluded on Friday at IIHMR University, Jaipur, bringing together speakers from fields including healthcare, performing arts, child rights, music, entrepreneurship, disability rights and wildlife conservation.
Held under the theme “Ignite the Unseen,” the event focused on individuals and ideas that often remain outside mainstream attention but can contribute to social change.
Diverse Speaker Lineup
The speaker lineup included Dr. Mallika Sarabhai, Padma Bhushan recipient and Director of Darpana Academy; Dr. Shibu Vijayan, Chief Medical Officer for Global Health at Qure.ai; Om Prakash Gurjar, 2006 International Children’s Peace Prize laureate and founder of Paathshala Trust; and Gauri Yadwadkar, Lead at Roundglass Music, singer, composer and musicologist.
Other speakers included R. Udayan Lahiry, entrepreneur, wildlife conservationist and former Managing Director of the Medica Group of Hospitals, and Prateek Madhav, National Award-winning disability rights advocate and CEO & Co-founder of ATF.
The speakers shared perspectives based on their experiences in areas such as public health, assistive technology, child rights, music, entrepreneurship, wildlife conservation and the performing arts.
Special Theatre Performance
The event also featured a special performance by Abhishek Mudgal, theatre director, actor, founder of Rang Mastaaney and Stage Manager at the National School of Drama, New Delhi.
Mudgal presented “Maharathi,” bringing a theatre-focused performance to the TEDxIIHMR U programme.
Focus on Cross-Disciplinary Conversations
The 2026 edition brought together discussions covering health, innovation, entrepreneurship, social impact, culture and the arts.
Yamini Agarwal, Director, IIHMR Startups, said the event brought together voices and experiences from different disciplines and highlighted the importance of connecting varied perspectives and lived experiences.
Dr. P.R. Sodani, President, IIHMR University, said TEDxIIHMR U provides a platform for ideas and experiences that can challenge existing perspectives. He said the theme “Ignite the Unseen” reflected the event’s focus on recognising voices and contributions that receive less attention.
