VS Hospitals Opens Third Super-Speciality Hospital in North Chennai
Chennai: VS Hospitals has inaugurated its third super-speciality hospital in Tondiarpet, North Chennai, to expand access to cancer care and specialised medical services in the region.
The hospital, built on a land area of over 26,500 square feet, is fully operational with 130 beds and a team of more than 200 medical and paramedical professionals.
The facility will provide comprehensive cancer treatment, including medical, surgical and radiation oncology. Other services include cardiology, a catheterisation laboratory (cath lab), neonatal and paediatric intensive care units (NICU and PICU), dialysis, gastroenterology, pulmonology, urology, neurology and orthopaedics.
As part of its awareness initiative, the hospital will offer free breast cancer screening until October 31, 2026, to encourage early detection.
The inauguration was attended by Tamil Maanila Congress president G. K. Vasan, VS Hospitals Chairman and Managing Director Prof. Dr. S. Subramanian, Medical Director Prof. Dr. Sundar Subramanian, Executive Director Muthu Subramanian and Group Chief Operating Officer Prassanna Srinivasan.
The hospital’s management said the new facility aims to reduce the need for patients in North Chennai and neighbouring areas to travel long distances for specialised treatment.
