Euler Motors Launches Turbo EV 1000 in Chennai with Segment-First Features
Chennai: Euler Motors, a pioneer in electric commercial mobility, unveiled the Euler Turbo EV 1000 — the world’s first 1-tonne electric mini truck — in Chennai. Purpose-built for the city’s demanding transport routes and experienced drivers, the Turbo EV 1000 is designed to deliver high payload capacity, superior range, and significant cost savings.
Priced from ₹5.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the Turbo EV 1000 is the most affordable 1-tonne electric vehicle globally. It offers a certified payload of 1 tonne, a real-world range of 140–170 km, and up to ₹1.15 lakh in annual savings compared to diesel alternatives. With this launch, Euler Motors aims to redefine urban freight mobility and empower Chennai’s commercial operators with a cleaner, more profitable solution.
Chennai’s commercial vehicle landscape, traditionally dominated by diesel, is witnessing a shift toward sustainable and cost-efficient alternatives. Rising fuel prices, growing awareness of EV technology, and supportive policies have encouraged businesses and fleet owners to explore electric options. The vehicle features segment-leading specifications including 140 Nm torque, 230 mm disc brakes, and an R13 wheel platform — the highest in its class. It also supports CCS2 fast charging, delivering a 50 km range in just 15 minutes at public charging stations. Built on a rugged 2.5 mm ladder frame with IP67-rated battery and electronics, and laser-welded battery modules, the Turbo EV 1000 ensures reliability and reduced downtime, enabling drivers to complete more trips and boost daily earnings.

It is available in three variants — CITY, FAST CHARGE, and MAXX — priced at ₹5,99,999, ₹8,19,999, and ₹7,19,999 respectively. Easy EMI options start at ₹10,000/month with a down payment of ₹49,999.
