NTT DATA Employees Volunteer for Ecological Restoration in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: Employees of NTT DATA participated in a volunteer-driven ecological restoration initiative at a site in Coimbatore, supporting efforts led by SankalpTaru Foundation.
The activity took place at a four-acre site that was previously used as a dumpyard and is now being transformed into a forest through sustained restoration efforts. Around 60 employees took part in the initiative, contributing to on-ground activities such as planting native saplings and supporting the development of green cover.
The restoration project aims to enhance biodiversity, improve soil health, and restore ecological balance in the area. The initiative also provided participants with an opportunity to engage directly with environmental conservation efforts.
Priyanka Negi, Chief Operating Officer of SankalpTaru Foundation, expressed appreciation for the support, stating that the collaboration reflects a shared commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable development.
The initiative is part of ongoing corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts focused on environmental conservation and community engagement.
