Giri Trading Agency Wins India Retail Excellence Award 2026 in Speciality Retail
Chennai: Giri Trading Agency has received the India Retail Excellence Award 2026 in the Speciality Retail category. The award was presented on August 19 at ITC Grand Chola, Chennai, as part of the Chennai Retail Summit 2026.
The awards, organised by the Retailers Association of India (RAI), recognise retail businesses across 11 categories and different retail formats.
Giri Trading Agency’s award recognises its presence in the spiritual and devotional retail segment. The company began as a bookstall in 1951 and has since expanded into a multi-store and omni-channel retail business, with outlets across India and internationally.
Speaking on the occasion, Srinivasan said the award recognised Giri’s efforts in offering spiritual products and curated retail experiences.
The award ceremony was held alongside the Chennai Retail Summit 2026, which brought together retail industry leaders, innovators and decision-makers to discuss developments and the future of the sector.
