Shivtek Announces ₹15 Crore Capacity Expansion at Kurnool Plant

National: Specialty chemicals manufacturer Shivtek Spechemi Industries Ltd has announced a ₹15 crore capacity expansion at its manufacturing facility in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh.

The expansion will add 14,000 metric tonnes of production capacity for Chlorinated Paraffins (CP), one of the company’s core product categories. Commercial production from the expanded line is scheduled to begin by July 2028.

The company said the expansion follows sustained supply constraints, with its Kurnool facility currently operating at 100% capacity utilisation. Demand for Chlorinated Paraffins has been reported across industrial segments including PVC compounds, industrial coatings, flame retardants and high-performance lubricants.

According to the company, the expanded facility is expected to contribute approximately ₹100 crore in annual revenue at full capacity.

Expansion plans

Commenting on the investment, Amitt Nenwani, Managing Director, Shivtek Spechemi Industries Ltd, said the additional capacity would address the company’s existing and potential order pipeline.

He said the expansion would also incorporate zero-emission process technologies and energy-efficient manufacturing systems at the Kurnool plant.

The company said the investment forms part of its broader capacity expansion plans and is intended to increase domestic availability of Chlorinated Paraffins and support import substitution and supply-chain resilience.

The expanded facility will incorporate eco-friendly process technologies, zero-emission standards and environmental compliance measures, according to the company.

Shivtek Spechemi Industries has manufacturing facilities across Andhra Pradesh, Punjab and Gujarat. The company is part of the Shiva Group of Industries.
