Madras Sanskrit College Unveils Bharatiya Center for Excellence

Chennai: The Madras Sanskrit College has inaugurated four new institutions within its campus, marking the foundational launch of the Bharatiya Center for Excellence. The new institutions include:

  • Ramaratnam Bharatiya Vidyalaya: A primary school dedicated to imparting education based on Indian values and knowledge systems.
  • Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswati Veda Pathshala: A new Veda Pathshala established in honor of Mahaperiyava.
  • Krishnaswamy Iyer Sastra Varidhi: An institution designed to cultivate deserving scholars and develop them into great scholars of tomorrow.
  • Saiva Agama Department: A new department launched to uphold the sacred traditions of Saiva Darshana.

The inauguration ceremony was held in the presence of the 70th Peethadhipathi, Kanchi Kamakoti Moolaamnaaya Sarvajana Peetham Jagadguru Sankara Vijayendra Saraswati Sankaracharya Swamigal.

The Bharatiya Center of Excellence represents a pivotal new chapter for the Madras Sanskrit College, building on its century-long legacy of preserving and promoting Bharatiya Knowledge Systems (BKS). The center will launch transformative initiatives to bridge ancient wisdom with modern challenges, creating tangible value.

The center will also feature focused research in Ayurveda, Ganitam, Dharmasastra, and Itihasa, as well as innovative bridge programs and research in Ayurveda. The True Itihasa Project will rigorously restore and rewrite India’s historical narrative using multidisciplinary research.
