KadhaiClub launches 60-second vertical film contest on digital arrest awareness

Chennai: KadhaiClub, the vertical cinema community by Kadhaishorts, has announced the launch of a Vertical Micro Film Contest focused on creating awareness about digital arrest scams through short-form storytelling.

The initiative aims to highlight the growing threat of digital arrest scams in India while providing aspiring and experienced filmmakers an opportunity to explore vertical storytelling by creating 60-second micro films on the theme.

According to the organisers, participants are invited to produce a one-minute vertical micro film depicting how individuals become victims of online scams, the emotional and financial consequences of such frauds, and the importance of remaining vigilant in an increasingly digital environment.

Entries for the contest can be submitted until July 15, 2026. Interested participants can register through the contest registration process announced by the organisers, and the completed entries are to be submitted to the designated mobile number provided by KadhaiClub.

The winning entry will receive a cash prize of ₹50,000.

The organisers said the contest continues KadhaiShorts’ efforts to create socially relevant content through micro storytelling. The initiative follows the launch of its micro-drama series “The Outlaws,” which explores the issue of digital arrest scams and the ways unsuspecting individuals can become victims of online fraud.

KadhaiClub stated that the contest also seeks to encourage filmmakers to use the growing vertical cinema format to tell socially relevant stories. With increasing mobile-first content consumption, vertical storytelling has emerged as a popular format for creators to reach audiences through short, immersive narratives.
