Outlet Mall of India Opens First Phase in Bhiwandi; Burger King and McDonald’s Drive-Thru Outlets Begin Operations
Mumbai: The first phase of the Outlet Mall of India has opened in Bhiwandi, marking the launch of what is being described as Maharashtra’s first outlet mall and one of India’s largest outlet shopping destinations.
As part of the initial phase, global fast-food chains Burger King and McDonald’s have commenced operations through drive-thru outlets at the property, providing visitors with dining options ahead of the mall’s broader retail rollout.
Developed by Bhumi World, the project is located in Bhiwandi and is positioned to serve consumers from Mumbai, Thane, Nashik and surrounding regions through its road connectivity and accessibility.
According to the developer, the mall will gradually introduce a mix of domestic and international brands across fashion, lifestyle, and leisure categories as subsequent phases of the project are completed.
Prakash Patel, Chairman and Managing Director of Bhumi World, said the opening marks the beginning of the larger retail and lifestyle development planned for the site, with additional brands and experiences expected to be introduced in the coming months.
The project aims to cater to shoppers seeking outlet-style retail formats, where branded products are typically offered through value-oriented pricing models.
With the first phase now operational, the Outlet Mall of India is expected to attract visitors from across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, including families, shoppers and weekend travellers looking for retail, dining and leisure options in a single destination.
Further expansion of the project is expected to continue in phases, with additional retail and lifestyle offerings planned as the development progresses.
