Honeywell Launches Enhanced Safety Suite 2.0 Platform for Industrial Worksite Monitoring
Mumbai: Honeywell has announced enhanced capabilities for its Safety Suite 2.0 software platform, aimed at improving visibility into portable gas detection device fleets used across industrial and emergency response operations.
The updated platform is designed for use in sectors including oil refineries, chemical manufacturing facilities, utilities, and first responder services. According to the company, the latest enhancements provide access to additional historical data, expanded dashboard features, and forecasting tools intended to support workplace safety management.
Honeywell stated that the software enables operators to monitor worker exposure to gases in real time, track compliance-related metrics, review historical safety events, and manage device inventories from a centralised system.
Armando Pazos, President of Honeywell Industrial Measurement and Control, said the platform combines historical and real-time operational data to help organisations identify potential hazards, prioritise corrective measures, and improve workplace safety management.
The company noted that connected safety technologies can assist organisations in identifying incidents at an early stage and reducing risks to personnel and infrastructure. Honeywell cited industry data indicating that responding to gas leaks can cost fire departments more than $500 million in a single year.
Among the new capabilities introduced in Safety Suite 2.0 are customisable dashboards that consolidate exposure information, compliance status, and device fleet health. The platform also includes real-time alerts to notify workers about critical events or upcoming device maintenance requirements, such as bump testing.
Additional features include real-time visibility into readings from workers’ gas detection devices and automated workflows for onboarding, assigning, calibrating, and returning devices to inventory. The company said these functions are intended to improve tracking and management of portable safety technologies across teams and work shifts.
Honeywell stated that the enhanced platform is aimed at supporting workplace safety programmes through improved monitoring, reporting, and operational oversight.
