DP World Mundra Launches Direct Service to US East Coast, Boosting India-US Trade

Mundra: DP World has introduced a direct service from its Mundra terminal to the US East Coast, enhancing connectivity between north-west India and the United States.

The new MECL service will reduce transit times, increase bilateral trade, and drive economic growth, benefiting Indian industries such as textiles, pharmaceuticals, and chemicals.

Ravinder Johal, Chief Operating Officer, DP World, stated, “The introduction of the MECL service marks a significant step forward in strengthening trade connectivity between India and the US, driving economic growth and bolstering bilateral relations.”

The service will connect Mundra to Houston, Norfolk, Newark, and other key US East Coast ports, with DP World’s global network and multimodal expertise supporting seamless cargo movement.

DP World Mundra’s state-of-the-art facilities, including a 632-meter quay and dedicated rail connectivity, will facilitate efficient cargo handling and transportation.
