Mphasis Receives EcoVadis Silver Medal, Ranks Among Top 15% Globally

Mumbai: Mphasis has received the EcoVadis Silver Medal for 2026, placing the technology solutions company among the top 15% of more than 130,000 companies assessed globally across 200 industries and 175 countries.

The company’s overall EcoVadis sustainability score increased from 55 in 2025 to 75 in 2026, a 20-point improvement. The assessment covers four areas — environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.

Improvement Across Four Sustainability Areas

Mphasis recorded the following scores in the 2026 assessment:

Environment: 82/100, up 34 points, reflecting environmental management measures, expanded Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions reporting, and targets related to energy, emissions and waste.
Labour & Human Rights: 76/100, up 21 points, covering workplace health and safety, employee wellbeing, diversity and inclusion.
Ethics: 73/100, up 14 points, including anti-corruption measures, information security controls, whistleblower mechanisms and ethics awareness.
Sustainable Procurement: 67/100, up 11 points, reflecting supplier sustainability standards, ESG requirements in supplier contracts and supplier engagement programmes.

Sustainability Initiatives

Mphasis has committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2030 through the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). The company also reports climate performance to the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), aligns its sustainability reporting with the GRI Universal Standards, and tracks its contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The company has also been recognised in the S&P Global Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) and the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2024.

FY2025 ESG Highlights

According to Mphasis, its key ESG figures for FY2025 include:

Women accounted for 35.03% of the workforce, including 35.06% of STEM roles.
58% of total energy requirements were met through renewable sources.
100% wastewater recycling was achieved across its campuses.
₹398.14 million was invested in community development initiatives through CSR programmes.
100% of new suppliers were assessed against environmental and social criteria, with more than 5,400 active vendors in the network.
Employees received an average of 31.8 hours of learning and development during the year.

The company also undertook ecosystem restoration projects, including the plantation of 1,00,000 trees at Doddasagare Botanical Garden and restoration of 70 acres of mangroves.

Its “One Billion Drops” initiative aims to conserve 153 million litres of rainwater by 2026 through 1,200 percolation wells.
