SKF India Launches VA9A1 Spherical Roller Bearing Series for Industrial Applications
Mumbai: SKF India (Industrial) has launched its VA9A1 Spherical Roller Bearing (SRB) Series, designed for low-speed, high-load operating conditions across industries including metals and mining, cement, material handling, pulp and paper, food and beverage, agriculture and textiles.
The company said the new bearing series has been developed to address maintenance challenges associated with frequent relubrication, bearing wear and unplanned equipment downtime in industrial operations.
According to SKF India, the VA9A1 Series offers up to 50% longer grease life, up to two times Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), and 8% higher grease capacity. These specifications are intended to reduce lubrication requirements and maintenance-related costs while supporting equipment reliability.
Focus on industrial maintenance
Nrithika Sridharan, Director, Marketing & Strategy, SKF India, Southeast Asia and Middle East (ISEAM), said industrial customers are increasingly focused on improving equipment uptime, managing operating costs and reducing resource consumption.
She said the VA9A1 Series combines application expertise with design changes aimed at extending grease life and reducing lubrication requirements over the industrial lifecycle.
The new series is intended for industrial applications where equipment operates under low-speed and high-load conditions.
